We had several ongoing projects with a fast growing digital marketplace start up.

Achieved clarity, transparency and alignment on a company-level regarding KPIs. The KPIs were accessible in a matter of seconds to both the Executive team and any member of the company. It resulted in significantly more efficient goal setting and alignment for the upcoming quarter.

Since teams did not need to rely on different tools or software anymore to get the needed insights, costs were reduced by cutting the unnecessary tools.

Instead of each department coming up with different metrics each time or choosing a tool of their choice for tracking, the aforementioned solution was implemented and as a result accountability and effectiveness increased.

Investors were pleased and said this was the best report they have seen from the company so far and were happy to continue with the current format moving forward. For the company, preparing the report was reduced to several hours, whereas previously it took up to several days to gather all the necessary data. Sharing the report internally only took up 15-20 additional minutes due to the set up of a standardized and consistent reporting framework.

Overview

1st project. One source of truth & KPIs

There were multiple data sources (backend, CRM, Google & Meta ads, etc.) that were used within the company. Also, there were several different tools used across different teams showing contrasting figures for the supposedly same metric.

Challenges

Teams were looking at contrasting figures of the same metrics. There was no easy way to see the bigger picture, data had to be manually extracted for multiple metrics across several departments and organized in a single Google Sheets file. There were no clear KPIs set within the company, as well as on a department level, resulting in lack of alignment, transparency and accountability amongst teams.

Solution

We recommended, aligned on the definitions and identified key KPIs for the company, as well as each department. We aligned on the relevant data sources, creating a 'one source of truth' dashboard for the company-level KPI tracking. It was also agreed to discontinue using several different tools for tracking the same metrics.

2nd project. Reporting standardization

Overview

The company had an obligation to provide monthly reports to their investors regarding performance.

Challenges

There was no framework or consistency in reporting, it was difficult for the investors to grasp the main story throughout the document resulting in multiple follow-up questions. The company also wanted to share a simpler water-downed version of the report internally, but wanted to avoid repeating the same work.

Solution

Created a scalable and robust framework, design, layout and metrics for the report, and aligned with external investors. Accordingly, built a report template and a dashboard to be used each month to update the performance results. Created a summary report template for internal use.

3rd project. Ad-hoc analysis

Overview

The company was running a user acquisition campaign for a year, but did not have the resources or the personnel to analyze the data and provide useful, actionable insights about the campaign.

Challenges

It was unclear whether the campaign is delivering positive results, and whether it should be continued, scaled or stopped.

Solution

Identified and aligned with the key stakeholders on what were the main questions they had liked to be answered. Performed deep-dive analysis and transformation on a specific subset of data.

Provided a summary and actionable insights to the stakeholders, which resulted in 5-figure cost reductions and optimizing the campaign for a certain sub-set of customers to deliver the optimal return on investment (ROI).
